Drum Line on the Whitemud River

Freshwater drum, also locally known as 'silver bass', are for the most part unheralded as a sport fish. Those who have done battle with schools of these voracious predators will tell you however, that they are every bit the worthy adversary on rod and reel.

The Whitemud River in the Central Region is a popular hotspot to target massive Master Angler specimens. This small river that empties into Lake Manitoba is widely known as the place to go to catch manhole cover-sized monsters. Jay Siemens shares his experiences and how to catch them in this video.
