Hundred and hundreds of Manitoba anglers got a little something extra when they caught a fish this summer. Thanks to the Get Caught Fishing! campaign, they were also awarded with stocked tackle boxes from Klass Tackle as well as shirts and caps featuring the Manitoba Master Angler logo.
This summer, Travel Manitoba Fishing Ambassadors strolled the docks at Gimli, Selkirk and Lockport—as well as at The Forks in Winnipeg—and caught anglers in the act. Through a promotion with CTV Winnipeg, anglers were also encouraged to upload images with their catches to travelmanitoba.com/getcaughtfishing for a chance to win one of three fabulous prizes: a day of catfishing on the Red River with City Cats, everything you need for a shorelunch from Manitoba Canola Growers and a $300 gift card from Cabela’s.
While the campaign is now over, the hot fishing in Manitoba is not! Fall fishing is right around the corner and promises serious action for new and seasoned anglers alike.
