Splake are a beautiful hybrid between a speckled trout (brook trout) and a lake trout. They can be targeted in cool pristine waters across several regions of the province.
These stocked fish increase in size very rapidly, partly due to the fact that they are voracious feeders. Fall is a particularly prime window of opportunity to target Master Angler specimens of these trout. Watch as Aaron hooks into a nice one in this latest episode of Manitoba Master Angler Minute.
