Central Region

Encompassing a unique section of the province, this region holds fantastic angling waters from the south end of Lake Manitoba all the way down to the southern stretches of the mighty Red River. Hidden gems dot the landscape everywhere in between, in addition to the productive waters of the Assiniboine and Pembina Rivers as they meander their way through. Signature Species: Freshwater Drum, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, Rock Bass, Common Carp

Eastern

Home to scenic areas such as the Whiteshell and Nopiming Provincial Parks, this predominantly Canadian Shield region is full of lakes, rivers and wild mixed forests. From family-oriented fishing trips to isolated excursions off the beaten path, the Eastern region offers it all. Signature Fishing Species: Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Black Crappie, Mooneye, White Bass

Interlake

Inland oceans surround this region in the centre of the province. Bordered by Lake Winnipeg to the east and Lakes Winnipegosis and Manitoba to the west, excellent year round, drive-to fishing is literally all around you in the Interlake. Signature Species: Channel Catfish, Greenback Walleye, Yellow Perch, Common Carp, Sauger, Goldeye, Freshwater Drum

North of 53

North of the 53rd parallel is the vast top half of the province. Untamed wilderness with countless lakes and rivers define this sprawling landscape. A chance at a fish of a lifetime is possible here with every cast or drop of the line. Signature Species: Northern Pike, Lake Trout, Walleye, Brook Trout, Arctic Grayling

Parkland

Beautiful Porcupine Provincial Forest, Duck Mountain Provincial Park, and Riding Mountain National Park are located within this region. These wilderness areas and their adjacent landscapes are full of productive lakes and an abundance of walleye, northern pike, and trophy trout waters. The Parkland is world renowned for its fly-fishing opportunities. Signature Species: Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Tiger Trout, Brook Trout, Splake, Walleye, Northern Pike

Western

The southwest corner of the province has several fantastic prairie lakes that are comparable to angling opportunities in more well-known areas. This region is also home to the rolling hills of the Turtle Mountains, which has several trophy trout waters located amongst them. Signature Species: Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Sunfish, Yellow Perch, Walleye
