Here's how to apply for your Master Angler Award

What you’ll need to complete your submission:


  • A horizontal measurement photo of the entire length of the fish on a flat surface, measured from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail against a ruler, measuring tape or bump board. An action photo is optional.
  • Fish Species.
  • The date your fish was caught.
  • The body of water in which it was caught.
  • Your name and mailing address.

Review the full list of Master Angler Program Rules to ensure your catch qualifies. Be sure to check out all of the awards you may be eligible to receive if you catch enough fish!

If you are 12 years of age or younger, you can become a Li’l Angler!
