Big ole bucket mouths may be the last species that you ever thought would inhabit the lakes of Manitoba. But the truth is, the largemouth has established a respectable presence on a few exclusive fisheries and have valiantly acquired the undivided attention of devout bass anglers and loyal supporters of the Master Angler program. But this is no surprise, the chance to target a world renowned predator that famously attacks well pitched plastics and buzzing top waters with a punishing vengeance, is simply a no brainer!
Largemouth encounters are presently reserved to the Eastern and Central Plains Pembina Regions. Largies that inhabit these select fisheries grow fast and offer excellent opportunities for 20 inch specimens!
Angling opportunities for largemouth bass are popular during the months of May to October.
